About Me
My name is Nancy A. Cavanaugh. I have been a professional writer since 1997 and an editor since 2000. I have worked with weekly, monthly and daily publications in print as well as online. Since 2007, I have worked as a freelance writer, having been published in parenting magazines as well as online parenting and fiction markets. You can read my published works on my web site at http://www.nancyacavanaugh.com. In addition, you can find several photo eBooks as well as the archive of my online children's magazine, which ran from 2003 to 2007. I have several eBooks available for the Kindle.
I began freelance editing in 2011. My clients have found success in fiction markets. One client has had the manuscript I formatted and edited for her be accepted with a publisher and offered a book contract. Two others have had their works self-published. I have also helped clients format their manuscripts for Smashwords.com and the Kindle on Amazon.com, including short stories, story collections and novels.
Early in 2012, I was taken on as an intern editor at Wido Publishing. I have edited one chick-lit novel and am currently working with authors on a Civil War novel for Young Adults (YA) and a paranormal romance for YA. I love helping the authors mold their novels and make them the best they can be.
